TERMS OF USE 1. Driver Age and License Requirements To rent a vehicle, the driver must be at least 21 years old and must hold a valid driver's license for a minimum of 6 months. 2. Vehicle Use and Authorized Drivers The vehicle may also be driven by other persons accompanying the primary (registered) driver, **provided that the primary driver named in the rental agreement is present in the vehicle as a passenger**. If the primary driver is not present in the vehicle, transferring or allowing the use of the vehicle by any third party not included in the rental agreement is strictly prohibited. 3. Insurance and Collision Damage Coverage Compulsory Third-Party Liability Insurance: All rented vehicles are provided with compulsory third-party liability insurance as standard and at no additional cost. In the event of an accident, this insurance covers material damage and bodily injury caused to third parties within the applicable legal limits. Collision Damage Coverage with €800 Excess: Damage that may occur to the rented vehicle is covered under collision damage insurance subject to an €800 excess. At-Fault Accidents: If the renter/driver is found to be at fault in an accident, the renter is responsible for the first €800 of the damage caused to the rented vehicle. Any repair and damage costs exceeding €800 are covered by the insurance. Not-at-Fault Accidents: If the other party is determined to be fully at fault and this is documented by an official accident report or a police/gendarmerie report, no amount, including the €800 excess, will be charged to the renter. The full damage amount will be recovered from the responsible party's insurance. Circumstances Where Insurance Coverage Becomes Invalid All insurance and collision damage coverage shall become invalid in the following circumstances: Failure to obtain the required police/gendarmerie accident report immediately following an accident, or failure to obtain the required alcohol/drug test report, Driving the vehicle under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or other intoxicating substances, Use of the vehicle by unauthorized persons while the primary registered driver is not present in the vehicle, Exceeding speed limits, participating in racing activities, carrying excessive loads or passengers, or using the vehicle for illegal activities. In such cases, the renter shall be fully responsible for all resulting losses, damages, and costs. 4. Fuel Policy Vehicles must be returned with the same fuel level as at the time of collection. If the vehicle is returned with less fuel, the cost of the missing fuel will be charged to the renter. 5. General Responsibilities All traffic fines, bridge tolls, motorway charges, and parking fees incurred during the rental period are the responsibility of the renter. The renter is required to use the vehicle with due care and in compliance with all applicable traffic laws and regulations.
